Getting Started with Scanotel: Your Guide to a Smooth Experience

Welcome to Scanotel! We’re excited to help you streamline your guest communication. Here’s how to get started, from creating your account to setting up your first text message automation.

Step 1: Sign Up and Enjoy a Free Trial

1. Create Your Account

2. Start Your 31-Day Free Trial

  • Once your account is activated, you automatically receive a 31-day free trial, giving you full access to all features without any charge.

Step 2: Assign Your Business Mobile Number

1. Navigate to Settings

  • Log in to your account and go to the settings page

2. Assign a Personal Mobile Number

  • Select your business’s mobile number. This number will be used for all outgoing & incoming texts to your guests.

  • Remember, this is a one-time action; once set, the number cannot be changed in the future.

Step 3: Import or Input Guest Mobile Numbers

1. Prepare Your Guest List

  • You can add your guests' mobile numbers to the platform either by importing an Excel file or by manually entering them.

2. Import via Excel

  • Navigate to the ‘Guests’ section and select ‘Import’.

  • Upload your Excel file containing your guests' mobile numbers and follow the prompts to complete the import.

  • You can download the import template from the bottom of this page.

3. Manually Input Numbers

  • Alternatively, you can manually add guest numbers by selecting ‘Add New Guest’ and filling in the necessary details.

Step 4: Set Up Text Message Automations and Templates

1. Create Text Message Templates

  • Go to the Templates

  • Click on ‘Create Template’ to design custom text messages for various guest interactions like booking confirmations, reminders, and greetings.

2. Automate Text Messaging

  • Set up automations by selecting ‘Automations’.

  • Define the triggers and conditions under which your messages will be automatically sent to guests, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
